Audrey Farley (nee Ware) was born in Reading, Berkshire. After spending many holidays in Sussex during the 70’s and 80’s she moved, in 1987, with her husband Alan to Telscombe Cliffs. It was their belief that their then young children would have a better quality of life in Sussex. They have never regretted the move.

In 1992 she went to an adult education class in Hove on “Tracing your family tree” run by Pam Simons. The genealogy bug bit hard and has never let go. She feels her biggest success in genealogy was, with the help of friends, uniting her niece Simone with her father whom she had never met, even though at the outset of the search his surname was unknown!

She spends a lot of her time walking in and around Telscombe Village with her Border Collie “Shadow” and loves the downs. It is her wish to be buried in Telscombe Churchyard, one of the most tranquil places on earth.
